And be it further enacted, That if any Action or Suit shall be <note>Limitation of<lb/>Actions.</note><lb/>brought or commenced against any Person or Persons for any Thing<lb/>done in pursuance of this Act, every such Action or Suit shall be brought<lb/>or commenced within Sic Calendar Months next after the Fact commit-<lb/>ted, and not afterwards, and shall be laid and tried in the County of<lb/>Middlefex, and not elsewhere ; and the Defendant or Defendants in such<lb/>Action or Suit shall and may plead the General Issue, and give this Act,<lb/>and the Special Matter in Evidence, at any Trial to be had thereupon,<lb/>and that the same was done in pursuance and by the Authority of this<lb/>Act ; and if it shall appear to have been so done, or if any such Action<lb/>or Suit shall be brought after the Time so limited for bringing the same,<lb/>or in any other County or Place than the aforesaid, the, and in every such<lb/>Case, the Jury shall find for the Defendant or Defendants, or if the Plian-<lb/>tiff</p>
