1224 ANNO REGNI TRICESIMO QUARTO  Cap. 84<lb/>Custom, to the contrary notwithstanding ; and all Corporations and Per-<lb/>sons to conveying and assuring, are hereby indemnified for what they shall<lb/>respectively so do by virtue of this Act.<lb/><p><note>Purchase<lb/>Money to be<lb/>paid into the<lb/>Bank, and<lb/>laid out is<lb/>other Pur-<lb/>chases, etc.</note>V. And be it further enacted, That the Purchase Money for such<lb/>Piece or Pieces of Ground to be paid in pursuance of this Act, also also<lb/>the Compensation to be made to any Title Owner or Owners in respect<lb/>thereof, shall be paid by such Person or Persons as shall be appointed<lb/>Feosse or Feossees as aforesaid, into the Bank of England, with the<lb/>Privity of the Accountant General of His said Majesty's High Court of<lb/>Chancery, to the Credit of the several Vendors of such Piece or Pieces of<lb/>Ground, or Persons interested therein ; and the said several Vendors and<lb/>other Persons interested as aforesaid shall, as soon as conveniently may be,<lb/>lay out such Purchase Money and Compensation respectively in the Purchase<lb/>of other Lands, Tenements, or Hereditaments, in Fee Simple, to be<lb/>conveyed to such Uses, and to, for, upon, and subject to, such Uses,<lb/>Trusts, Limitations, Remainders, and Contingencies, as the Lands or<lb/>Grounds for or in respect whereof such Purchas Money shall be paid as afore-<lb/>said, shall be limited, settled, and assured, at the Time such Conveyance<lb/>and Assurance shall be made in Manner aforesaid, or such as shall be the<lb/>capable of taking Effect ; the Charges of such Conveyeances and Settle-<lb/>menus to be paid in the same Manner as the Expence of building on such<lb/>Ground ; and in the mean Time, until such Purchase or Purchases shall<lb/>be made, such Money shall be laid out by such Corporations or other<lb/>Persons for the Time being interested therein, in some Government<lb/>Securities, in the Names of Two Persons, One to be nominated by the<lb/>Party or Parties for the Time being interested therein, and the other by<lb/>the Feossee or Feossees aforesaid, and the Interest arising from such<lb/>Securities shall be paid to such Person or Persons respectively as would<lb/>have been entitled to the Rents and Profits of such Piece or Pieces of<lb/>Ground or Tithes in case such Ground had not been sold, or would for<lb/>the Time being be entitled to the Rents and Profits of such Lands,<lb/>Tenements, or Hereditaments, so to be purchased, in case the same<lb/>were purchased and settled as aforesaid.</p><lb/><note>If the Ground<lb/>before men-<lb/>tined should<lb/><lb/>be increased<lb/>in Value, a<lb/>further Sum<lb/>may be paid<lb/>by the Feos-<lb/>sees.</note><p>VI. And be it further enacted, That, previous to the erecting and<lb/>building any Penitentiary House or Penitentiary Houses, in case the same<lb/>shall be intended to be built on the said Piece or Pieces of Ground herein-<lb/>before described and situate within the Parish of Battersea aforesaid, and<lb/>the Owners or Propietors interested in such Piece or Pieces of Ground,<lb/>or any of them, shall be dissatisfied with the Price at which the same was<lb/>estimated and assessed in pursuance of the said recited act as aforesaid, and<lb/>shall give Notice in Writing to the Feossee or Feossees appointed by<lb/>virtue of this Act, within One Calendar Month after Notice given that<lb/>the said Piece or Pieces of Ground <sic>hath</sic>or have been fixed upon as<lb/>herein-before mentioned, that the said Piece of Ground <sic>hath</sic>encased in<lb/>Value since the Assessment thereof was made by virtue of the said recited<lb/>Act, it shall and may be lawful to and for such Feossee or Feossees to<lb/>pay into the said Bank of England, with such Privity as aforesaid, such<lb/>further Sum of Money as shall be agreed upon in that Behalf ; or in<lb/>case no such Agreement shall be made, then to pay into the said Bank of<lb/>England such Sum of Money as such Feossee or Feossees shall think a fit</p>
