note, should any base or suspicious piece of
money be contained in it, the identity of the piece
will thus have two witnesses to depose to it: attest it and
to provide for this contingency, blank forms of attestation
so contrived as to answer the purpose of
a cover to the piece of money alone contained, may
be provided for that purpose: and should the suspicion
be confirmed, on the return of the bad money,
a small sum such as 1d or 2d should be
returned with it at the expense of the Officer in
fault.
