The Law of England, say the <unclear>writers</unclear>, has<lb/>two branches: there are two parts of it,<lb/>the written and the unwritten. <note>When they say this, what is it that they mean?</note><add>By</add><hi rend='underline'>The</hi><lb/><hi rend='underline'>Law</hi>, <add>for it</add> to have any signification, should mean<lb/>a collection of Articles of each of which<lb/>one may say, that it is <hi rend='underline'>a Law</hi>. <del>This</del><add>A</add><lb/>signification <unclear>thus</unclear>, which the written park of<lb/>it actually has, as every one may <gap/><lb/>Now then with <del>the</del> respect to that part that<lb/>is <unclear>termed</unclear> unwritten.
