<p>Be it therefore enacted that it shall <lb/>and may be lawful for His Majesty <lb/>His Heirs and Successors from time to <lb/>time to nominate and appoint certain <lb/>Persons to be Commissioners for the <lb/>preservation of the Peace within the <lb/><note>The King to appoint <lb/><hi rend="underline">Commr's of Peace</hi> <lb/>within the said <lb/>District</note> <lb/>District aforesaid and that such <lb/>Commissioners shall and they are <lb/>hereby authorized and required as soon <lb/>as conveniently may be after they shall <lb/>be nominated and appointed to appoint <lb/>and establish Patrols and such other <lb/>Ministerial officers of the Peace as to <lb/>them shall appear necessary to act <lb/>and do Duty within the said District <lb/>wheresoever it may be expedient or <lb/>needful for apprehending all Felons <lb/>and other offenders against the <del>Law</del> <add>Peace</add>. <lb/>And the said Commissioners are hereby <lb/>strictly required and Commanded to <lb/><sic>inforce</sic> by due course of Law all laws <lb/>now in being or which shall hereafter <lb/>be made during the continuance of <lb/>their authority for the prevention <lb/> | |||
