Vaughan

There is, in some men a sort of overweening forward-
-ness with which the best intentions are not unapt
to be alloy'd. But even this imputation, venial
as it is, you will now, I hope, be of opinion
with me, does not attach upon the conduct of
Mr Vaughan.

Believe me, Sir, it is not any domestic,
nor certainly any thing of like a party connection
(for I have never looked upon Mr Vaughan
as a party man, and I am sure I am
none) that but that sort of moral feeling which the
idea of suffering worth is so well intitled to
come in the most distant bosom, that
has called forth this unbidden, and
unlooked for, tribute to from.

A Your Constant Reader.
