NONCON. Origin of — L.Coke

The same Jurist, very well read in the Rolls
of Parliament, but very ill read in the great
Book of Human Nature, informs us upon the
authority of those Rolls, that this view was
brought into England by the Lombards —
I had as lief have said, that the use of
women was brought intoby the Lombards.
as if the same nation which first taught
it to the people of one country, was not able
to teach it afterwards to thatthe peopleof another.
