Nothing coud be more acceptable to me than the obliging
Letter you favoured me with of the 9th Augt wch reached my
hands in less than ten days, as it gave i me the Satisfaction
of knowing you were selled so agreable much to your wishes
tho' I must confess it wod have been more agreable
to mine to have had you at westminster under
circumstances similar to those you enjoy at Berlin
in reading that part of your Letter wch. gave me to
understand that Mrs. Brown partook also of
your attractions to Berlin, I cou'd not help
regretting that Mrs Bentham & myself had not
had an opportunity of paying our respects
at Queen's Square Place to a lady to whom I thought
myself so much obliged by
