Declaration of war of about wch not the least mention was made, for it appears by the enclosed Extracts It
says that the Prince was that Day just come on board the
Vermicular in order to fall down the River a Second time
in his way to Cherson where he (the Coll) was also to
attend him a Second time, by which it appears that
the Prince made a point of having my Son with him on the Spot tofor
for the purpose as may be imagined of consulting with him relative to that
place wch. is likely to be the heat Thunder of the War. that is
ally broken out
. hence it may be concluded
that whether he is to be a Soldier, or a Sailer, he
is however not to be a Cypher, and the Pains
he must have taken to qualify the men of his
Batallion whom he employed to navigate &
manage his Vermicular Squadron so much to
the Princes Satisfaction as appears by the inclosed
Letter giving an acc.t of it's progress towards
Cherson wh the Emperor the Prince & Counts
