Lawyers and priests view with conjunct delight
the continually encreasing mass of solemn falshoods!.
More particularly when the flavour of them, is height-
ened by the admixture which raises them to the rank
of perjury: the friend to mankind, regarding falshood
in every shape as a source of unbounded misery,
and an instrument in the hand of every crime, never,
on any occasion, relaxes in his solitude for the
exclusion of it.

respectively? If so, shew how.

☞ 23 March 1832. The word Observation does
not match with the new-employed phraseology. Would
not Instrumental be the proper word?
