St. Margaret and St. John the Evangelist, Westminster. The Churchwardens, and Governors and Directors of the Poor of the said Parishes, do hereby give Notice to the Inhabitants dwelling in the under-named Streets and Places, that they have contracted with Mr. STEPHEN BURGES, of Tothill Fields, for Cleansing the same for One Year from the 5th Day of April, 1785, at the Times hereunder mentioned; and in Case he neglects his Duty in not Cleansing the said Streets and Places, at the stated Times, on Complaint from any of the Inhabitants to the Board of Governors and Directors of the Poor, who meet every THURSDAY Afternoon, at the Work-House of the said Parishes, due Care will be taken to have the Place complained of properly Cleansed, and the Contractor fined for his Neglect.
