Office for Auditing the Public Accounts
Adelphi, London, 4th March 1808
Observations and queries that have arisen with examination of the account of Jeremy Bentham Esquire of the money received and expended by him for an intended Penitentiary Establishment from the to which he is desired to return answers and Explanations on or before Monday the 21st together with the Papers called for, if they are in his custody, or , or to explain to the Board why the same cannot be in the whereof the account will be closed, omitting the articles in the Discharge part of the Account defectively vouched.
The accountant is desired to write the answers separately to the following observations and queries, with blank pages left for that purpose, and to sign his name with the date, at the conclusion of the said answers.
