And now, my Lord, in the name of the good people
of Scotland, who in this instance at least I flatter myself,
will not disavow me, not to speak of those of England and Ireland, let me make an appeal to
Your generosity, to your consistency, to your Love of justice
to whatever virtues concurred in determining Your Lordship
to look now round and apply try what could be done toward
the relief of the oppressed our oppressed fellow subjects in the character of suitors.
