1 -calness of the ignominious part of the punishment .

2 — in the view of encreasing one's reputation for excellence in a lucrative employment From p. 44. No at bottom Falshood in the view of encreasing ones own
reputation for skill in any trade manufacture profession or other
lucrative employment is an offence of a very ambiguous
nature . In one point of view it may be consider'd
as a species of defamation , in as far as it
tends to lessen the comparative reputation of any competitors .
In another point of view it may be consider'd
as a roundabout species of defraudment : in as-much
as it tends the design of it is to attract from the customer a
profit which but for the falshood would not have
accrued .
