Another Statute The Title to which it is to
not less worthy one attention for the long windedness of its title is the following 22.G.2.2.66 with the full long-winded

to itself.

R.Y. NOTORIETY Hodge - Podge 22.G.2.46<
This Title is one of those compositions [which an]
formed to elevate & surprize
In the first place one should might be apt to chagrine that after
the "continue several Laws", every "for"
began a fresh Law or not of Laws, which
were to be continued by virtue of their words without more ado - it
is no such thing: that about the Thames is
the only one to which nothing is given but a
continuance: the rest are all explained
& amended and to the bargains it being the verbs
"continuing, explaining & amending" being those
which ware jointly applicable to the several
Sentances prefaced by a "for" that follow
them: & not the single one "certianity" of that
the </add> which goes before
In the next place, one is apt to wonder <add>cannot help considerinhg a little how
how it should happen that the Attorneys are
thus in with the Cattle in
each of , or Layer of cattle and then a Attornies layer of Attornies & Cattle

is that of 3. Car.4. which repeals perpetuates 8
Statutes in part of Statutes, & 6 other
to the nextStatute, & repeals g:& here too
there are several original Clauses inserted:
These 56 Statutes are all perpetuated in
the Lump by an Act of the i next Parliament
in that reign As it was uncertain when they should meet again it was necessary to make no long - What would the Reader a man keep imagine
to be the Title of that Act? "An Act for the
further relief of
his Majesty's army & the northern
parts of the Kingdom."
The manner how Clause by which this is done <note> and the contorions which the Lawyer <add>Draughtsman put his Intellect to to do it </note></add> 'tho like were to
digress a little ass lead us into a short day reform not unworthy our atten our attention
The text is a 'Let all the Acts which were
continued by 3<hi rend='superscript'>rd Car. 1st c.lc. be made perpetual</hi>
