not B District Court of Appeal
The natural object of such a forfeiture is to pay
for the trouble time created to give at the Court above , the
Department or Metropolitan Court . But if it had him were
given to that Court it might appear as if they they would stand chargeable in appearance <add>be obnoxious to the imputation</add>
had interest in exacting the forfeiture and refusing <add> if ha profiting by their own injustice , when</add>
they exatcted the forfeiture and refused their
certificate . If their emoluments were fixed they their
would in fact gain , would in fact be nothing : but
detraction does would not stop to observe the difference .
