There are few principles of attachment so powerful There can scarcely be a stronger or shadier
or so steady as thatprinciple of attachment, than that which binds the
proprietor of hoarded property, piniably of his own
hoarding, to the power ato where good faith and
solvency he has built the assurance of his enjoying itits being continued
Where the treasure is — there will the Mart be also.

It was by this principe that the attachment
of the opulent class of money'd man or the commencement of the present Century was secured to
the old constitution, through the medium of the new reigning
family.
