1.
Art 1. Punishable falsi
fication, adding obliterating or
altering a word in the
Register: so, making
any unindicated ad
-dition.
But when correctly
and compleatly in
-dicated, and such
correction may be
made; maker's name
with year , months & day attached.
2.
Art 2. Every entry
made by a Registrar
Depute, is signed by
him, with sufficient
indication of his per
son, at the same time
with mention of year,
month, day of month,
and hour.
3.
Art. 3. No other actor
has power to make
entry or alterations in
Register.
But on any such actor
tor tendering such mi-
-nute, authenticating
it by his name and
sufficient description,
Registrar is bound to
signify assent or dis
sent, attested by his
family and official
names, at length or
by initials.

Art. 4. For refusal,
neither irrelevancy
nor even criminality
of the proposed entry
would affond justifica
tion: for criminality,
renderer's signature
renders him compen
sationally & punitional
ly responsible.
