Art 7. So in case of necessity, for termination of pre-
vention of dangerous or action, where the conti-
ued attendance of the offender is required as for example
sake pinioning or booting, or both, as to ease may require
By pinioning understand & confining the army by means of
the instrument applied to persons insane, under the de-
-nomination of the strait waistcoat: by booting under-
stand confining the lower extremities by means & within
the limits of one & the same boot: in both cases without bodily
uneasiness other than the least which is necessary to the
production of the effect.
