After the waste of so many thousand pounds of
my own money previouslyproperty, subsequently as well as abundantly to
the £2,000 of public money so fruitlessly bestowed, it
was natural, and I hope neither unjust, are un any their sure discommendable, that I should embrace
whatever opportunity Supposed to present itself, for saving
to any sure use this or that small matter out the wreck of that
mixt mass of property of which the Government in question composed so small a
part: property
wrecked - not by
myself, but by the
servants of Government
in the manner stated
