BUILDERS calamity of Fire

References to be made to the Sections, & to the Line in the Authentic Edition The design of these regulations is to prevent the spreading of Fires.

Brick & Stone together Nothing said of Mortar. & Plaister is excluded such as is used for some of the Adelphi Buildings: unless it comes under the denomination of Stone It is to be presumed if we designed that the parts mentioned before Breast-Summer Fronts might be made of any material all the way up: but as the passage will admitt of another , viz. the applying the limitation "to the ground floor" to each of them, it might have been better if it had stood thus: .... "Story Parts, & to the Ground Floor Breast Summer Fronts and the Cornishes to them
