Linc. Inn Oct. 24. 1778
I have received yours of the 18th
Your Tinfoil instead of a guinea or more as the man
talked of, came to but 7-8 1/2
I hope by the bye you have received it— It went
in Tuesday or Wednesday by the Diligence from the Belt in Friday Street,
L.S.G. took it in the Coach and paid the carriage which
came to . In the parcel were the other things I talked
of— item certain pair of tweed ruffles— 1 pr all lace
one pair lace with a footing & one pair of muslin with
lace calcing. Perhaps I ma be able to spare yo a wastcoat
or two soon, but I am not certain. Give me timely
i.c: 5 days at the Court, where you go, that I may not need
my thing more.
