Penitentiary plan
Recapitulation of the annual expence per head of thousand Convicts of Mr
Benthams Mr Bentham's Penitentiary plan on the terms originally settled with Mr
Bentham.

N.B. Mr Bentham by the agreement was not to have
fewer than a thousand — he was to be paid as for that
number at all events

Annual head-money		£ 12,000
Capital upon which annual interest is to be reckoned in addition to the annual head-money
1. Allowance toward the Building the prison	£15,000
2. One years interest on do: the prison not being to be opened till one year after the £15,000 was to have been advanced	750
3. One year's interest on £5000 of this allowance money to be advanced in year before the reception of the Prisoners reception of the Prisoners	£ 250 259
Interest on £10,000 to be advanced to him without interst for threeyears for the purchase of the ground	1,500
