Sherwood 19 Septr 1824 on a Sheet containing the prices of
the School with the notice of the additional charge, and do for the
holidays, if passed there.

Venerable Sir

I crave your pardon for this
my boldness in addressing one to whom I
have always looked up to with a reverential
awe as the most intellectual being my
country has in his department ever produced.
Happy would it be for the Civilized world did not
ignorance, prejudice - and in a particular manner
interested decriers prevent mankind from
deriving the benefits from your labours that
they are lated to produce - but we may
hope that a future age may reap what has
been in this so judiciously sown by your
hand.

The immediate cause of my taking this liberty
is my having seen in the P Newspaper
a Statement that you, Venerable Sir, approved
