Superannuation Annuity
+Instruction to the Post-Master in relation to his Certificate as above
To save the Annuitant when already known as such the trouble of personal attendance
or in compassion to an Annuitant who through informity or otherwise is unable personally
to attend, the Postmaster may as stated in the above form remitt the Petition
in question upon the report of others: and even make payment to any person producing
a Receipt appearing to be duly signed: and it will be a laudable act of kindness so to do
But this is at the said Postmaster's discretion, and the payment at his risk: insomuch
that if it should turn out either that the Annuitant was not living at the time of such
payment, or that the money did not come into his hands, the Postmaster will have to refund
the money to the Governor as aforesaid.
