§§. 6 Contractors own expected rate of profit.

On the subject of the mass rate of profit which, in case had the Contractors own expected rate I flatter
Contract been fulfilled it is my opinion that I should have reaped, it is (I flatter
myself) it is sufficiently understood already, that I
make not at the expense of the public any such claim
without of being made to receive under the name of "compensation
compensation or damage <add> be "loss by for loss and damage by non fulfilment of the contract"
any good sum in any sum approaching to that which would result from the acceptance
given to that rate in the character of the probable and proper rate.

But, for the purpose of shew bringing to view the prodigious inferiority of the witness

be wanting to myself if I did not to lay before my Arbitrators
