Chicanera 4. Arbitratrix

1. Power of referring to Courts of law or Equity for decision

1. Power of "raising the question for the decision of any Court of law (there, for the Lord Tatriton, there's for you Sir Nicklas!) "in Equity" (there's for your Sir John Lord Master of the Roll's Honour — there's for your you Sir Lac Vice Chancellor, there's for you Lord Lyndhurst!)

2. En attendant power of reference to a Jury

2. En attendant, (by §. 82) "power to order any part of the matter referred to him to be tried by a Jury

3. Power, thereafter (by that same §. 81) to order a new trial — of course by another Jury.

Learned Counsel on one side with their Motions, on the other side with their defences against such Motions, and the parties with the fingers of their respective Solicitors upon their noses, leading and conducting them by the safest paths possible over the field of perjury.
