DEFINITIONS &c.
Magistrate The word Magistrate shall include as well Trustees in
respect of their cognizance the <add>Judicial power of Indication power given</add> to them, by <add>& to they are </add> as Justices deputy of the
Peace & other Judges of a higher rank use of this v. in ss38 or it might be Court had not this letter obtained a more limited signification in common understanding which word be apt to occupy the mind in exclusion to that which it is meant to be inculcated. in

Parish Officer The word Parish-Officer shall include Overseers of the
Poor & Churchwardens & Chapel-wardens: also the such
