-ly of Winchester Men.

I have begun this week to work hard at Hero-
-dotus, and I read every day 10 pages at least, that
I may finisht his week the book I have begun, which
is the longest of all by much: henceforward I shall be
able I hope to do a book every week; by which means I
shall have read the whole by June; I forget whether I
told you in my last, that there are 9 books, bearing the
names of the 9 Muses. the 1st Clyo, the 2d Euterpe, the
3d Thalia, the 4th Melpomene, the 5th Terpsichore, the 6th
Polyhymnia, the 8th Urania, and the 9th Callio
-pe.

Pray give my duty to my Grandmama and love
to depoor dear Sammy; I was in hopes of hearing how
he did before now, but I hope you will let me know
soon, which will give great pleasure to
