The Governors of :
Provinces,
Circular.
who have any command soever, to see
& give such orders, so as that M.<hi rend="underline">r
Bentham may be shown every thing
worth his notice, & that he may not be
neglected with respect to good & proper
Necessaries, more especially as his being
unacquainted with the Roads, & the
Russ Language, together with the distance
of the Journey, may require the
more help as a Foreigner, pailing him
that knowledge of the Country & Customs
of the People, which a Russ traveller
might be possessed off. I hope
that all Gentlemen Commanders every
one according to his Station & the Duty
he is entrusted with, will not fail to
do M.r Bentham all the Service he
may desire, whereby he may be contented
with your Intentions, Remain
on my side with constant Respect
