Thames Police Bill
Saving for the
privileges of the
City of London
Provided it always that nothing in this Act
contained shall abridged or or
constrained any thing is required to to <add>prejudice or abridge the rights above</add>
to be done Justice or Justices of the or franchiser of the City of London, or the
whatsoever power or authority as powers of the Lord <add>Mayor and Aldermen thereof:</add>
above given to Justice or Justices of to inquiry
the Peace shall within the City of London
[and the Liberties thereof] be exercised by the
Lord Mayor and Aldermen whereof
persons exercising powers
but that wheresoever any mention occurs whatsoever is herein above enacted <add>and ordained</add>
of of and concerning any one Justice of the Peace, or of and concerning any
two or more greater number of such Justices of the Peace respectively —
the same shall be understood as to all plans
within the jurisdiction of the said City if
if such powers therein by the powers
[[+] save and except the that
concerns the appointment and
dismissal of Thames
Police Constables as
aforesaid
shall as to all offences committed or ask if
authority exercised within the City of London
and the liberties thereof be understood if the person
or persons whereb by whom the functions of
a single Justice or two or more Justices respectively
are exercised within the same.
