(6) §. 29
Board may make
regulations for keeping
in status quo articles
offered to sale - impounding
part of the
purchase-money, and advertising for owners.

And to the end that time may be afforded in the case of property
to the owner of any goods or valuables lost whether
by depredation or otherwise and in particular
in the case of [Horses
or other Cattle] Plate,
Watches, Jewels, or
other articles of considerable
susceptible
of distinctive marks
and of considerable
value
time may
be afforded to the lawful owner of such goods or
valuables for tracing out and recovering the same,
it shall be lawful for the said Commissioners with
such allowance as aforesaid to make Regulations By-Laws
Rules and Orders enacting and declaring in relation to all or any of
the Second-hand articles in respect of the purchasing whereof licences are to be
taken out under and by virtue of this Act, for
what length of time such articles after having upon their being
been offered to sale

to any Dealer so to be licenced Purchaser <add>person so licenced or
such licenced Purchaser as aforesaid as aforesaid shall in case of his purchasing
the same or her making purchase thereof received in
 his
  
or her custody or possession in deposit without any change

Insertion  in 1  Regulations p.  9. §  (6) 29.  Page 58 and as also to declare in what circumstances, if any, and on what conditions,
 articles usually bearing distinctive marks, or may, if offered
for sale without such marks, or after with a counterfeit appearance
of such marks, be or not be purchased by such licenced Purchasers
respectively, and thereupon be or not be detained and with the
offerer person offeri or persons offering the same to sale conveyd for examination to before some Justice of the Peace
as b herein before provided in case of false answers given by an
offerer to sale
