From the above additional heads, a variety of indications
may be drawn, subservient in a variety of ways
to the purposes of Police. Aliens, Irishmen
Scotchmen, Welchmen, North Country men, West countrymen,
Londoners, Soldiers, Sailors, Militia-men, Vagrants,
Gipsies, London and other regular-bred thieves
Suspected Cosers, Suspected Laghers, mightwould
be distinguished. The degree in which ough
in respect of sexual intercourse wais connected with
other species of behaviourirregularities would also be observable,
and the quantity of family dis suffering resulting
from each the delinquency of the father
or mother would alsolikewise be display'd. To indication
all the points of information derivable
immediately or more directly or more or less immediately
from these heads, with the uses
to which these several points of information might
be applied in practice, would almost demandrequire
a volume.

Under favour of the latitude purposely given
in the po text, the Board would enlarge the
number of heads in its blank forms, in proportion to the gst maturity of its experience
and the enlatgement of its views. How much
better thus, than for Parliament to be tormented
for a fresh Act, every time an additional head
came to be were demanded, for the system of Book-keeping,
for this or any other public purpose!
