Dear Brother, Paris 3d May 1791
I arrived here yesterday morning and as my first business was to go
to the Post Office, I there found yours of the 1st & another of the 5th April.
In the course of the Day I called on Gautier who, upon learning my Name
asked if I was not the Author of some Pamphlets relating to the present state
of this Country in short, took me for you, & upon finding I knew
nothing of any such Productions of yours he gave me seven such
Pamphlets of your's with another entitled A Sketch of the Reign of George
the 3d. I have only dipped into them as yet, but am very anxious
