SIMPLIFICATION of TENURE

It is b would be but a just return in Lords of Manors for the favor shewn them by
Ambler's Bill a step towards this. the general provisions of the Law [in the Stat... Geo. c.] for facilitating inclosures to
to a system of provisions for facilitating enfranchisements.

1.
It would improve the constitution by equalising the Representation.

2.
It would be incourage Agriculture Improvements in Husbandry & the Growth of Timber now so
much wanted.

3.
When this Tenure should be entirely abolished, by would contributing to the simplicity it
would be contribute to the certainty & notoriety of the Law.

Method of carrying the project into Execution might be this in Copyholds
Inheritence -

+ to be managed as to a trusteeconsisting of 24 to admitt of
recusation of 6 by
each party
out as is done in a Special
Jury

Any Tender of a price by any Tenant and refusal by the Lord - Shew It upon
request in writing to summon a Jury of Freeholders + to find 1st the Annual Value 2st the Value of
the Prems. on the foreseen under the Copyhold Tenure: 3d ly.The Value they would be of if Freehold:
4th ly by the Value of the .
a certain number of years purchase, suppose as shall be agreed on, suppose 2, 3, or 5,
to be added fig. 9/ for the Lord, together with 1/2 year's purchase for the Steward, and upon
payment of the Sum total within a time limited by the Tenant his Heir or Assigns
the Terms to be declared enfranchised.

Form of Conveyance to be consider'd
Suppose Luxury and Leisure by the Sherriff to hold of the King in Common with
a Deed of description — The Deed to be register'd — Intervention of the pension out of whose these paper, the Lord as in
Conveyances directed by the Court of Chancery , not necessary — it will only give room
for delay & evasion on the part of a reluctant Lord.
