1. Size should be longer

Reasons.

1. The seals being large
the place will be the
more promptly ascertainable
in the faint
light.

2. The thermometer
will be the less sensible:
and as a degree
or two will probably
not be material
if it were sensible
it would be the less adapted
to observation
out of the Frigidarium:
since in the interval
between extraction
and observation
it would have undergone
the greater change.
