(a)5. Light continued. Light admitted at night, or even by day,
by means of an Argand's lamp on the outside with a reflector
behind it, reflecting it through the windows, which at the time
of viewing only may be uncovered: the light bearing on the objecy
placed for this purpose on the Shew-Table.
To avoid the constant heat, the discharge of which
would accompany the emission of the light, the lamp might
not be placed in the spot in question, except at the very time of view.
It might possibly be prefereable to employ the lamp in the daytime:
viz to prevent the acess to that heat which would be
the inseparable accompniment of the sun's light.
