is more than I can imagine. If there be Incompetence
any man now living that canlay his hand upon
his heart and solemnly declare that in no caseinstance
has he evertrivial or important departed from the rifid line of truth
uponfor the prospect of advantage he has either more
hypocrisy than I would wish to impute to any
man, or more virtue than I can persuade myself
to exist in any man. The only person about whom I
