July 10 J.B. received a Letter from M<hi rend="underline">r</hi> Blackquier at Madrid on Spanish affairs - marked out passages in it for the Traveller and sent me with it to the Office - delivered it to Maj Torrens who promises to return it tomorrow. Furniture &c from Hall Oak arrived at Q.S.P. to day.

Took note from J.B. si Mr Laurence to ask him for information about the Spanish TRanslator, and to dine with J.B. 11. Called at Longman's for Thekerd. Carliles on the Abuses of the Excise - Not known — at McCreery's about his Bill - all settled - the remainder of the money recd. from Payne & Foss , and his receipt given to F.P.- Mr Blackquier in his letter, red yesterday, acknoowledges the receipt of copies of J.B's works &c sent him by M<hi rend="underline">r</hi> Armstrong. June 16th.  Took to M<hi rend="underline">r</hi> PLace's divers Chrestomatic papers for the consideration of the Managers who meet at Wakefield's this day - Afterds took to Wakefields M<hi rend="underline">r</hi> Hoe's Chrestomatic Draft. 12 R.D. went to M<hi rend="underline">r</hi> Coulson's- brought from him M<hi rend="underline">r</hi> Blackquier's Letter to J.B. which had been taken by me to the Traveller Office on 10th inst.
