The customers for small but permanent Annuities
- the possessors of sums regarded as capable of being kept
but not to the end of a man's life, or some other such
long and indefinite period, but not large enough to buy stock with will become purchasers
of these Notes without any designing intention to with
them unless in casethe event of some casual or unforeseen
exigence, and unless in the happening of some
such event will not in fact part with them.
The possessors of sums which though whether large enough
or not large enough, to by stock with are not regarded
as capable of being kept long enough for the interest
to pay the expence of buying and selling Stock
or which the circumstances and views of the owners
do not admitt of their committing them to that
risk of depretiation to which Stock is cannot but subject
remain exposed, can not become purchasers of
but with the intention of corresponding mass of Annuity Notes parting them, nor
without the appearance of being able to part with
