In Civil Code arrange the 4 cardinalobjects
in view thus, Subsistence, Abundance,
Security, Equality.

Security bears reference to
Subsistence & to Abundance.

Security depends on the care taken to save
from disturbance the current of Expectation.
Different Events have the effect either of
creating a demand for Subsistence or of giving
encrease to the instruments or means of
abundance, or giving the current of
expectation a new direction.

The effect of these several events is to indicate the
expediency of giving a new disposition to the
p??sti [acts? of fr?ty]possessions they respectively refer to, that is
to lodge them or invest them in different hand,
to transfer them from one to another.

Death whenever it happens makes an ineritable
transfer from one hand and then the question
is to what other.
