Ground, Messages, Tenements or Hereditaments, within the Bounds and
Limits aforesaid, at any Time or Times within the Space of five Years,
from the said Twenty-fourth Day of June One Thousand Seven hundred
and Fifty-five, to make and grant under their respective common Seal or
common Seals unto the said William Markham and Thomas Salter, their
Executors, Administrations and Assigns, or unto such Person or Persons as he
or they shall appoint in Trust for him or them as aforesaid a Lease or Leases
of all and every or any such piece or pieces, parcels or Parcels of Ground, Mes-—
sages, Tenements and Hereditaments, comprifed within the Bounds and

Limits aforesaid, for any Term of Years not exceeding Ninety-nine Years
to be reckoned from the said Twenty-fourth Day of June One thousand
Seven hundred and Fifty-five, and under such yearly Rent or Rents to be re-—
served and made payable to the said Dean and Chapter of the said Colle-—
giate Church of Said Peter at Westminster, and their Successors, and under
such Covenants as they the said Dean and Chapter, adn the said William
Markham and Thomas Salter, their Executors, Administrators or Assigns,
shall think reasonable and just; but without taking any Fine or Fines
for the fame, or for any Part or Parcel thereof; any Law, Stature or
Ufage, or any other Matter or Thing whatsoever to the contrary thereof in
any wife notwithstanding.


And to be further enacted, by the Authority aforesaid, That it shall
and may be lawful to and for the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate
Church of Saint Peter at Westminster, and their Successors, who
shall or may be seised in Fee of and in any Piece or Pieces, Parcel or
Parcels of Ground, Messages Tenements or Hereditaments within the
Bounds and Limits aforesaid, to treat and agree with the said William
Markham and Thomas Salter, their Heirs and Assigns, for the Exchange

of any such Piece or Pieces, Parcel or Parcels of Ground Messuages,


Tenements and Hereditaments, with the said William Markham and
Thomas Salter, their Heirs and Assigns, for any other Piece or Pieces,
Parcel or Parcels of Ground, Messuages, Tenements and Hereditaments
within the said Bounds and Limits as aforesaid; and that it shall and may
be lawful to and for the said Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church
of Saint Peter at Westminster, and their Successors, by and Deed
or Deeds, Writing or Writings, under their respective common Seal or
Common Seals, and under the Hand and Seal of the Said William Mark-—
ham and Thomas Salter, their Heirs and Assigns, to exchange and Piece
or Pieces, Parcel or Parcels of Ground, Messuages, Tenements and He-—
reditaments with the said William Markham and Thomas Salter, their
Heirs and Assigns, for any other Piece or Pieces, Parcel or Parcels of
Ground, Messuages, Tenements or Hereditaments of equal Value within
the Bounds and Limits as aforesaid; all which said Deed or Deeds, Writ-—
ing or Writings, shall be inrolled withing Six Months next after the
making thereof in some of His Majesty's Courts of Record at West-
minster, and the fame, or true copies thereof, shall form to Time
