was not the present small and decayed structure
but a modern one the principal Poor House, and
that a modern built one containing the bulk
of the Parish Poor to the amount of money
hundreds.

About 300 private Houses were exposed by
the same Act to the same fate, through owing
to a failure in the ways and means, only
a few of them eventually experienced
as appears by a Petition presented to the by
the Inhabitants of those Houses to the House
