17. The two parts into which this
line divides the circle are equal to
each other.
17. A diameter of a circle is a
right line drawn through the circle &
terminated on each side by the circumference
& divides the circle into two
equal parts.

18. A semicircle is a figure contained
between a diameter & that part of the
circumference of a circle cut off by that diameter.
19. A segment of a circle is a figure
contained between a fight line & part
of the circumference to a circle.
20. S a Sector of a circle is a wedged
formed figure having for its boundaries
any two lines by which an angle is being equal to
each other are the boundaries of an angle
the corresponding portion of the circle:
it has as also the a right line which is
the secant of that same circle. In as
much as the two ends the pair of each end of the secant are is common
to that & the correspondent end of the portion of the
the boundaries of that same secant
& the portion of the circle
of the same line. cut off by it.

propriety it may be applied to a
