Strangeness of the Place. 2 Where the place in which the party injured is
confined is a strange place, (a) such as a distant province, or foreign nation especially if he have been inveigled were drawn
thither by fraud or carried thither by force.
Exposition
3 [(a) Strange place] 1. The strangeness of the place will depend
upon the condition and circumstances of the party
injured. The next Street may be a strange place to a
young Child. The whole surface of the globe earth may scarcely afford a
