Of Rebellion
Punishment for aggresive offensive Rebellion. For For active aggresive offensive Rebellion the offender's punishment shall be as
follows
1. He may be put to death: but he may himself
choose the kind of death
2. His estate and effects shall be forfeited to the
Sovereign for such a time as the Sovereign shall
think proper. + + See Ch. of Executions.
Punishment for Treason For Treason the punishment shall be as
follows.
1. He shall be made to do the most public
penance. Cloathed in the arms of the foreign country
2. He shall be daubed over with mire. & spit
upon by the Executioner.
3. He shall in this condition be put to death by being shot out at
the mouth of a cannon from out of his own
country into or towards the dominions of the country on whose
behalf the treason was committed.
4. If his life be spared it may be on condition
of his submitting to any other punishment to
be appointed in the room thereof.
5. Slavery perpetual in a foreign country
