the said Benjamin Hodges & shall and will accept the said sum of
£3000, in lieu of the said sum of £4750, in full satisfaction for such
damage and surrender as aforesaid.

And the said Jeremy Bentham & doth hereby covenant and agree, to
and with the said Benjamin Hodges &c, that if he the said Jeremy Bentham
& shall not on the said 25th instant have paid or tendered or cause to be paid
or tendered to the said Benjamin Hodges the sum of £4750 on the said
25th instant, that then and in that case he &c will not nor shall demand possession
of the said premises or any part thereof from the said Benjamin Hodges &c
on any day earlier than the said 25th of Decr. 29th of September.
