such an agreement may be set down and agreed upon,
ready to be handed over to Lord Salisbury, for his Lordship's
signature, before you part: and in that view I send him
a copy of this letter. —

Mr Bentham presents his Compliments to Mr Estcourt,
inclosing the copy of a letter he has been writing to Mr Long. (a) (a) See Notes
Relying on Mr Estcourt's experienced politeness and liberality,
he flatters himself that he will embrace with pleasure any
measures that may tend to put the business out of the reach
of accidents, and that accordingly, if he sees no particular
objection to the memorandum proposed, he will, on his visit
to Mr Long, go prepared to out together a few words, that
may answer the desired purpose. —
