Penalty for falsehood
and forgery
touching licences
And be it further enacted that every
Every person who in case by reason of his by reason of any occupation
exercised by him or her is hereby
exercising or being required to take out any
such licence as aforesaid under and by virtue of this
act shall exercise be convicted of exercis any such occupation without
having duly taken out being so licenced as aforesaid
shall on conviction before any one Justice
of the Peace forfeit for the first offense and for

and for every offense committed subsequent to such his or her being
convicted under not less than [ ] nor more than
[ ] and every person who shall have on application
made by him or her for any such licence
shall give in any a false name or suppress conceal any part
of his or her true name, or who, in any such licence
inscription as aforesaid, shall put up exhibit or wilfully
suffer to be put up exhibited any false name or suppress or wilfully suffer to be suppressed any
part of his or her true name or or on such his
place
as aforesaid put up
or wilfully suffer
to be put up
shall put up exhibit
or wilfully suffer to be put up exhibited any such licence
inscription as aforesaid in manner aforesaid, without having taken out being in possession
being licenced by as a dealer of the class which indicated
by such incription shall unless in like manner
forfeit not less than [ ] nor more than [ ]: to any amount <add>sum not greater <add>less than [ ] nor more thanexceeding [ ]:
and if any every person who shall procure forge counterfeit or procure to be counterfeited any such licence,
or make or wilfully <add>procure or suffer to be made any fraudulent alteration in any such true licence,
or certificate of the same as abovementioned
or utter or exhibit any such forged or fraudulently
altered licence knowing the same to be forged or fraudulently
altered
or utter or exhibit
as granted to him
or herself any licence
granted to any other person
other than him
or herself or utter
or exhibit as being
still in force any la expired licence
knowing the same to
be expired
every person so offending shall onfor the first offense
like conviction forfeit not less than [ ] nor more
to any amount <add>not less than [ ] nor more than not exceeding [ ]
on being convicted thereof before any one Justice of the Peace:
than [ ] and shall moreover be publickly
(or if a female privately) whipt at the discretion
of such Justice: and for the any second offense
committed after conviction of a for such first offense shall be deemed and adjudged a felon & shall
suffer the pains of felony.
