tolary instruction amongst [men of letters] of all
nations ; together with a periodical deliveration of the actual state of sciences and the arts and dev-
-eners in England; under the direction of

It was in the Lyceum at Athens that Aris-
totle formed that Peripatetic School, the forward

of the universe for a long succession of ages.
